Special Voyageurs With Yellow Birch Handles!

We quickly sold out of a small run of Allagash Cruisers hafted with yellow birch handles hand turned by TD Handle in the Finger Lakes of New York, so we thought let's haft some on our Voyageur Hudson Bay Axe!

These handles are A+ grade, have a beautiful silky hand feel, are a little longer and thinner than the hickory handles that we normally use on the Voyageur and dang it -- they are beautiful!

Yellow birch was traditionally used in Scandanavia as a tool handle before American hickory became the de facto standard.  

We only made 20 of these beauties. We are hanging these right now and expect to ship orders within the next three weeks. Comes with a Maine-made leather sheath.
