Here is one of our favorite axe patterns -- The Hudson Bay -- made by the Collins Company of Collinsville, CT. This axe has been used by campers, canoeists, and trail crews for over 100 years. 

This Hudson Bay Axe weighs in at 2#, hung on a 26" hickory handle, secured by a black walnut wedge and protected by a stitched and riveted Maine-made leather sheath.
