We have married up a freshly forged Allagash Cruiser 2.5 lb. boys axe head made from U.S. 1045 carbon steel with a new old stock Madden "Tuff Hickory 28" handle. We scored these handles from a hardware store that went out of business in Massachusetts. They were still in the box that was shipped from Madden in Mt. Vernon, Indiana!
We made 2 of these one of a kind axes so they won't last long!
