Here is a unique, U.S. made axe sharpening solution. Quarried from the Ouchita Mountains in Arkansas by R.H. Preyda and designed specifically for the axe enthusiast.
A soft Arkansas stone (600 grit), and hard Black Arkansas stone (3000 grit) are affixed to a 4" x 1" premium hickory wood handle with red leather cord. Add a little honing oil start with the soft side of the stone and finish with the black hard side to keep your axe wicked sharp!
